OnePlus has revealed a new budget smartphone Nord 20 5G for $282, ArsTechnica reported, citing the manufacturer.

The new model received a 6.43-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2220 by 1080 pixels, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of user data storage, a 4500 mAh battery and a six-core Snapdragon 695 processor. Among other things, the Nord 20 5G added a slot for microSD cards and an in-display fingerprint scanner. As for the cameras, the device boasts a triple module, which includes a main lens with a resolution of 64 megapixels, a monochrome camera and a macro one.

One of the disadvantages of the device, which the journalists pointed out, was the outdated version of the operating system - Android 11, which debuted in the fall of 2020. Journalists complain that OnePlus Nord series smartphones rarely receive major updates and end up with outdated firmware.

For example, the previous Nord model, which also started with Android 11, received only one update for all the time - Android 12. Thus, the Nord 20 5G will most likely also receive only Android 12, which is already six months old.
