Legendary head of Apple Company Steve Jobs announced his resignation on Wednesday.

“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come,” FoxBusiness.com quotes his letter addressed to Apple’s board of directors.

He expressed confidence that “Apple’s most innovative days are ahead of it”, recommending Tim Cook as CEO.

Interestingly, Steve Jobs was brought up by woman of Armenian origin. He was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs (née Hagopian).

In 1976, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded Apple. Leaving Apple in 1985 Jobs founded another computer company NeXT Computer. In 1997 he returned to Apple.

Headed by Jobs, Apple company produced world famous devices such as iPad, iPhone and musical player iPod.
