The Bezos Earth Fund, created by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has pledged $1 billion by 2030 to protect carbon stocks and biodiversity, the Elysee Palace reported when the French leader held the first series of talks at the COP27 summit in Egypt.

The presidents of Gabon and Rwanda also reportedly expressed interest at the COP27 summit in taking action to protect forests and natural carbon stocks.

So far, Bezos' charity has committed 30% of its $10 billion fund to conservation, restoration and food systems transformation.
