MOSCOW. - On December 17, Former Miss Venezuela Eva Ekvall lost her battle to cancer, at the age of 28. She died of breast cancer, which she was diagnosed with in the year past, Rosbalt News Agency of Russia informed.  

Ekvall was crowned Miss Venezuela eleven years ago, and she represented her country at the Miss Universe pageant in the following year.  

She was married and had one daughter.

Eva Ekvall was also a recognized personality of a Detroit cable television company.
