Four trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Syria have crossed Armenia’s Margara checkpoint on the Turkish border, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from this checkpoint.

Armenia’s Margara checkpoint on the Turkish border opened a short time ago so that humanitarian aid shipments to Syria could be transported there through Turkish territory.

This humanitarian aid includes food, medicine, hygiene items, and some other essential items.

As reported earlier, the Armenian government adopted a decision among its unreported matters in its Cabinet meeting Thursday, according to which it will make Armenia’s Margara checkpoint on the border with Turkey operational from March 21 to 31 in order to send humanitarian cargo to Syria through Turkish territory.
