YEREVAN. - Axel Fischer, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Co-Rapporteur on Armenia, will not arrive in the country, for health reasons. And solely Co-Rapporteur John Prescott will come to capital Yerevan, on January 16, on a fact-finding mission, Armenian News-NEWS.am’s reliable sources informed. 

During the visit, Prescott will meet with the country’s senior officials, members of OSCE delegation in Armenia, and with representatives of the country’s political parties, justice system, and NGOs.  

According to PACE’s official website, the discussions will primarily focus on the implementation of the requirements stipulated by Resolution 1837, which PACE adopted in the year past, the preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia, and the priority domains of the monitoring procedure.
