BEIRUT. – No Armenians were affected by collapse of a building in Lebanon’s capital, chief editor of local Azdag Armenian newspaper Shahan Kandakharyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He said the reasons for collapse had not been named so far. The building was situated in Ashrafiya Christian district.

The collapse of the Beirut building killed at least 26 people, some of them were foreign working migrants from Sudan, Ethiopia, Egypt and the Philippines. Twelve people were taken to hospital.
