YEREVAN.- No foreign currency transactions were made on NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange, Wednesday, due to low demand for U.S. dollar.

US dollar has reached a weakening stage in Armenia.

As a result of trading, one dollar’s average exchange rate comprised AMD 388.30, Tuesday.

Exchange offices sell US dollar at the rate of AMD 388/$1 and sell at the rate of AMD 386-387/$1.

The main reason for weakening of US dollar is reduction in monetary base accompanied with foreign currency intervention by the Central Bank of Armenia.
