ANKARA. – Turkish main oppositionist, leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu condemned the court verdict cast for the murder case of Agos Armenian newspaper chief editor Hrank Dink.

Kilicdaroglu stated that students demanding free of charge tuition are charged against the law as members of an organized criminal gang, while murderers of Dink are claimed not to be members of a gang, as if they had acted individually.

“This is a justice by Justice and Development Party (AKP),” he said, Turkish Posta reports.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, on Tuesday, the Turkish court found Yasin Hayal guilty of planning and organizing Hrant Dink’s murder, and sentenced him to life in prison. Erhan Tuncel, on the other hand, was found not guilty of prompting Dink’s murder, and, instead, he was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months for an explosion in McDonald’s. Taking into account that Tuncel already spend in prison during the court hearings that amount of time, the court ruled his release. 

Earlier, Hrant Dink’s actual killer, Ogun Samast, was sentenced to a total of 22 years and 10 months for Dink’s murder and for bearing illegal arms.

The court decided that 19 defendants were not members of terroristic organization.
