YEREVAN. - Armenian Communist Party will participate in the coming parliamentary elections. For now it has been decided to participate alone. However, currently negotiations with Armenia’s Advanced United Communist party are being held.
First Secretary of Armenian Communist Party’s Central Committee Ruben Tovmasyan told the reporter of Armenian News-NEWS.am mentioned that the Communist party will not nominate candidates for the majoritarian system.
“There will not be any majoritarian nominations as the costs have increased,” he added.
The Communist party has not yet decided on their pre-election list, but it is quite possible that other known people will also be included.
“Of course it is possible. I think it will also be possible by the majoritarian system. If for example Levon Aronyan were to nominate his candidacy with our party, we will not mind,” he said, adding that it is not excluded that Aronyan will be in their lists.
To the question whether the grandmaster knows about those bright perspectives Tovmasyan said that he is just giving examples.
