YEREVAN. – A special working group is established, in Armenia’s National Assembly (NA), to carry out inspections at NA, following former NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan’s resignation, Zhoghovurd daily writes, referring to well-informed sources.

“The group was established when it had become apparent, after Hovik Abrahamyan’s resignation, that he had taken along the expensive bullet-proof tires that were bought during his tenure, [and thus] he had left [current] NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan ‘defenseless.’ Now this working group is busy with such disclosures. To inform, each of the five tires, which Abrahamyan had ‘appropriated,’ costs 1.2 million drams [approx. US$ 3,093]. And what’s interesting is that NA Speaker’s advisor Albert Heroyan, whom Hovik Abrahamyan himself had brought to NA, was appointed the head of this group formed in NA. But, in an interview with us, Heroyan denied the existence of this group,” Zhoghovurd writes.
