The tests of the Coyote Block 3 drone were conducted at the Yuma shooting range in the US state of Arizona, Techcult.ru reports. Their goal was to test the latest model of this combat drone against massive attack by other drones.

The Coyote Block 3 is already the third version of the drone. The first—reconnaissance—version was a UAV with an electric engine and retractable wings. And the second was equipped with a turbojet engine with four stabilizers, which turned it into a jet fighter.

The Coyote Block 3 has retained the plans and tactical and technical characteristics of the Coyote Block 2 with a turbine engine, but instead of a warhead, it was equipped with an energy cannon. Such a cannon hits a target with an electromagnetic pulse, disabling its electrical circuits, after which the target falls to the ground.

The characteristics of Block 3, however, are secret. It is only known that it will be able to hit UAVs of the 2nd and 3rd groups.
