Qatari authorities have decided to end the free accommodation and meals program for tourists who were unable to leave the country due to airspace closure. According to the Russian Embassy in Doha, the last night of the program is March 14–15, 2026, Kommersant reports.

"According to Qatar Tourism, local authorities have decided to terminate the program of 'free accommodation for tourists' staying in the country's hotels. The last night of the program is March 14–15, 2026," the diplomatic mission's statement reads. The embassy clarified that from 12:00 Moscow time on March 15, tourists must either check out of hotels or extend their stay at their own expense.

The program was introduced amid an escalation in the Persian Gulf zone. Initially, the benefit was valid until March 7 for passengers with tickets for the period February 28 to March 7. All guests retained their paid room category and received free three meals a day regardless of booking conditions. The program was subsequently extended several times.
