YEREVAN.- Leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian said he would not leave the Liberty Square and will wait till tomorrow.

Runner-up in presidential race is holding rally in the square in the center of Yerevan.

Taking into account the fact that Serzh Sargsyan did not accept Hovannisian’s offer to discuss transfer of power, presidential candidate said he would wait head of the state in the square till Thursday.

The opposition candidate’s words suggested he would stay in the square till the start of the demonstration of the Republican Party of Armenia, previously planned for Thursday.

During Tuesday’s demonstration, Hovannisian called on Sargsyan to meet and discuss transfer of power.

Preliminary results issued by Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission showed incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan received 58.64%, while his closest rival Raffi Hovannisian -36.74. The voter turnout reached 1, 521, 931.
