YEREVAN. – There are positive changes from the viewpoint of the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide. Armenia’s Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan told this to news reporters on Wednesday while visiting capital city Yerevan’s Armenian Genocide Memorial, on the 98th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. 

In his words, even though dozens of countries already recognize the Genocide, there is still work to be done and, most importantly, this wave of activities should be maintained so that Turkey ultimately recognizes the Armenian Genocide.

Kocharyan added, however, that it is still too early to apply to the international court on the Armenian Genocide issue, since there still are phases that must be passed.
