Agasi Vartanyan is doing fine, and he has no health problems at this time, his friends told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

American Armenian Agasi Vartanyan is on a 55-day fast ever since April 3, outside the Armenian church in Burbank, California, and to draw the world’s attention on the Armenian Genocide Centennial. 

Vartanyan’s friends also said hundreds of people visit him every day.

“But he doesn’t speak with anyone; he has cut off communication with the outside world,” they added. 

Agasi Vartanyan is fasting inside a three-meter-high-and-three-meter-wide glass-enclosed space. He has taken along solely water for 55 days, clothing, and a mobile phone.

The whole area is under constant video surveillance.
