The election campaign has not yet started in Armenia, whereas anti-agitation is already carried out, which worries the Armenian police.

Chief of Armenian Police, Vladimir Gasparyan, said the aforementioned on Thursday during a consultation in Aragatsotn province of Armenia.

Referring to the stabbing in Ararat province, Gasparyan said: “During this period I don’t want certain parties, community leaders or other policemen create such an atmosphere, where people would confront each other. The policemen will be punished in the strictest way possible,” he stressed.

As a result of stabbing in Masis town on Thursday, the resident of Sayat-Nova village, Abraham Adamyan, 23, who represents Prosperous Armenia Party, suffered injuries and was hospitalized. A representative of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is suspected of the crime.
