YEREVAN. – The government’s program is a program that will change the quality of life in Armenia.

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on Wednesday said the abovementioned at the National Assembly, as he presented the 2017/22 program of the country’s government.

He noted that the work done over the last nine months has shown the problems that exist in Armenia, and how they should be resolved.

“Armenia is located in a difficult geographical area,” said Karapetyan. “About 83 percent of our borders are closed, and only 20 percent are open.

There are numerous strong players with conflicting interests in our region. We [Armenia] have a dependency on the shocks in international financial markets.”

The PM stated, however, that the government’s program will create a stronger, safer environment in Armenia.

“This will not be an easy road,” he added. “[But] the key to making our country prosperous and thriving is in our hands.”
