Russian cargo plane AN-12 lost gold bars during a takeoff from Yakutsk airport, YakutiaMedia reported.
According to the source, gold bars fell out of a loose hatch in the plane’s hold.
AN-12 belongs to the Nimbus Airlines, the source said.
After the incident, the crew decided to return to Yakutsk, and then the plane landed safely at Magan airport.
