Pedro Sanchez was sworn in as Prime Minister of Spain, ABC reported.
The ceremony was held in the royal Zarzuela Palace on Sunday. For the first time in the democratic Spain, the ceremony was held without the Catholic symbols: the Bible and the crucifixion.
Earlier, the Socialist leader successfully ousted predecessor Mariano Rajoy who lost a no-confidence vote in parliament.
