YEREVAN. – Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan described the situation in Armenia as a “classic bolshevism”.

“Classic bolshevism, but during bolshevism there was dividing line between white and red,” he said in an interview with Yerevan Today, adding that everyone is well aware about the consequences of such policy.

“Instead of uniting people, the PM is dividing them and is exerting hatred,” Kocharyan emphasized.

According to him, the most dangerous thing is that quite great mass of population is drawn into illegal actions. As an example, the second president cited criminal cases involving numerous investigators and civil servants. The ex-president advised that they avoid the temptation of carrying out illegal instructions.

“They would have to answer soon,” he warned. “This is a very important circumstance, since the leaders will move aside, they will say that they have nothing to do with it, because according to the law they will really have nothing to do with it.”

According to the ex-president, the authorities are trying to achieve results through hyperpolarization of success, and not by uniting the nation.

“It's dangerous, simply dangerous. I do not think that people with state thinking can take such steps, it is simply unacceptable. It is necessary to call for sober thinking, and our intelligentsia, our journalists, the media must stop and show that this is an unacceptable policy, and we must put an end to it,” Kocharyan said, adding that the proclaimed love and tolerance lay in ruins, while the time of hypocrisy and lies has come.
