YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan urged the deputies not to aggravate internal political situation.

His remark came during the live broadcast on Facebook on Tuesday.

According to him, parliament intends to put to the vote a draft on amending the law “On Parliamentary Regulations”.

“In the afternoon, I held phone talks with Parliament Speaker Ara Babloyan and the leader of the Republican Party faction Vahram Baghdasaryan and directly told them that unless the vote is  postponed, I would have to appeal to the people and ask for their assistance,” Pashinyan said.

According to him, the introduction of such a bill testifies to the existence of “counter-revolutionary forces, counter-revolutionary political figures and deputies” in Armenia.

“I urge deputies not to aggravate the internal political situation. If it turns out that the parliamentary forces, which are known to you, intend to approve this bill, we will be forced to go to the square and ask for the assistance of the citizens to address this situation. I hope that this bill will be removed from the agenda, otherwise it will mean the official start of the counter-revolution in Armenia,” Pashinyan said.
