· Owner of Armenia’s Fifth Channel Armen Tavadyan was arrested Wednesday, Armenian SIS reported.
Armen Tavadyan is under arrest within the criminal case regarding Varuzhan Mkrtchyan, one of the supporters of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and is suspected of committing the mentioned criminal act.
Mkrtchyan is charged with the act of bribing or forcing to make a false testimony, or false conclusion, or incorrect translation, committed by an organized group.
· Bodies of the married couple and one of their children were found on the living room floor in Armenia’s Alaverdi.
Later, it was found out that they died from carbon monoxide poisoning. The Investigative Committee of Armenia reported that the apartment was heated through a gas heater and that the gas pipeline was left within the wall instead of being taken out of the wall, and this led to carbon monoxide poisoning.
· Narek Mutafyan, a supporter of second president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, has been released by a decision of the Criminal Court of Appeal, Mutafyan’s lawyer Aram Vardevanyan wrote on Facebook.
Kocharyan's another supporter, Sargis Ohanjanyan, was released on December 10.
Sargis Ohanjanyan and Narek Mutafyan were arrested after asking questions on the street to Judge Anna Danibekyan, who presides over the criminal case of ex-president Robert Kocharyan who is in custody, and video recording it.
· Hayk Mheryan, the head of Nor Nork district, has submitted a resignation in this capacity, and Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan has accepted it today, Mayor’s spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan told NEWS.am.
"He was dismissed upon his own petition,” Karapetyan added, “in connection with moving to another job.”
These include the 2020 rates for local taxes in Yerevan, the latter’s development plan for 2020, and the 2020 budget.
