Today, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian had a working meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the Presidential Palace. They discussed the country's current agenda.
"The year 2019 was a successful year for the Republic of Armenia," Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said. “In 2019, we had the highest number of economic activity index since the start of economic calculations with this method; the launch was in 2011. In 2019, we noted that the post-revolutionary transitional government period, and at the heart of our discussions have always been the need to focus more and more on the topic of institutional reform in our country and to establish and implement a strategic management logic. I think we are entering such a phase in 2020.
You know, you have also reacted to the situation—if one say, the crisis—around the Constitutional Court, and today I hope we will discuss, exchange ideas also on the problem linked to it.
Of course, I definitely share your view that we should approach this issue with the very logic of institutional establishment of the country, with the logic of national and state interests of our country, with the logic of having an accurate and working system of balances and mutual restraint.”
"Of course, it is also worth discussing future plans, investment plans," President Armen Sarkissian said in his turn. "I can happily say that there seem to be new, small victories during my visits, be it to the Persian Gulf states, Davos, or to Israel."
