A traffic police investigator has been detained for taking bribe.

Facts have been obtained that the launching of a criminal case in connection with a traffic accident in Gyumri, and with injuries, on January 17, was dismissed.

After that, a traffic police investigator demanded a bribe of 50,000 drams from the driver involved for returning his driver's license and a car registration so as not to penalize the driver.

Immediately after receiving the requested amount of money on February 7, this investigator was apprehended and taken to the criminal police general department, and this 50,000-dram bribe was seized.

The police captain has been detained.

The criminal case initiated by the police was sent to the Special Investigation Service.
