The increased incidence of deaths in Armenian and Nagorno-Karabakh Armed Forces is largely due to the impact of the criminal subculture, said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday at the Armenian parliament.

According to him, he has had meetings with Armenian Defense Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

"Any such case is a serious problem for all of us," he said adding that they need to understand the origins of this problem.

As the PM noted, the criminal subculture impedes civilized communication between military personnel, which leads to hazing, and sometimes ending sadly.

As reported earlier, two soldiers have received a fatal gunshot wound in Artsakh. The death of the soldiers caused a public outcry, as since January 2020, 13 military personnel have died in non-combat conditions.
