YEREVAN.- The opening ceremony of Junior Eurovision 2011 will be held this evening in Yerevan.

The ceremony will be held at 11:30 pm at Karen Demirchyan Concert and Sports complex in Armenia’s capital. Children between the ages of 10 and 15 and representing fourteen countries will compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011, and Armenia’s contestant at the event will be Dalita, with her song “Welcome to Armenia.”

The elements of Armenian culture will be presented not only in the design of the stage but during the entire show. Spectators will have an opportunity to get familiar with the Armenian music and dances, organizers say.

The dress rehearsal was held on Friday evening. Armenia’s Dalita was forth to perform. Representative of Sweden Eric Rappi was called winner as a result of yesterday’s voting which followed the rehearsal.

The first to perform during the final contest is Russia, followed by Latvia, Moldova, Armenia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Ukraine, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Belarus, Sweden, Georgia and Belgium.
