The name of the Strong Armenia party’s candidate for prime minister will be announced on February 12. The coordinator of the "Our Way" movement, Narek Karapetyan, announced this at a press conference Tuesday.

Karapetyan noted that for this person, leading Armenia in difficult times will be a duty, not a right.

"When the head of the country reduces the poverty level [in Armenia] from 20 percent to at least 10 percent, only then will we have a reason to talk about increasing the salaries of officials. But not now, when the country increases [its] debt by 1.3 billion [US] dollars every year. Against this background, the bonus fund amounts to 16 billion drams," Narek Karapetyan added.
