YEREVAN. – Head of Armenia’s ruling Republican Party (RPA) parliamentary group, vice-president of RPA Galust Sahakyan went to Armenia’s Central Election Commission at 6.00 p.m. on Sunday in order to present his appeal, Galust Sahakyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, his appeals concerns Armenian National Congress’ central headquarter coordinator Levon Zurabyan who has conducted campaign even though campaigning on the previous day of the elections as well as on the Election Day is prohibited by law.

As Sahakyan mentioned, Zurabyan has conducted negative campaign against RPA.

Eight political parties and one block participated in the parliament elections in Armenia: Republican Party of Armenian, Prosperous Armenia Party, Orinats Yerkir, Armenian National Congress, Heritage Party, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, the Communist Party of Armenia, Democratic Party of Armenia and United Armenians Party. For entering a 131-seat National Assembly (Parliament), parties must poll over 5% of votes, while blocks - over 7%.
