VAN. – Turkish police arrested Van Mayor Bekir Kaya along with Bostanci, Edremit and Baskale mayors and took them to court within the Union of Communities in Kurdistan case on Thursday, Turkish Radical reports.

Diyarbakir Mayor posted on his Facebook that he spoke to the mayors and they are sure that it is the ruling party’s organized operation deprived of any legal bases.

In addition, the Van Mayor was to visit Yerevan in these days. To note, there were 32 Kurd Mayors in Turkish prisons prior to this arrest.
