Armenia’s Ambassador to Italy, Ruben Karapetyan, attended, in the City of Pesaro, official opening of the exhibition of the works by Armenian contemporary painters and sculptors. The event, which is entitled “In Search for Paradise,” is devoted to the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Armenia and Italy.

Ambassador Karapetyan and Pesaro Mayor Luca Ceriscioli welcomed the attendees with opening remarks.

Karapetyan underscored the holding of events devoted to Armenian art especially in a country like Italy. In his turn, the Mayor expressed a conviction that the exhibition will be successful, since a new opportunity is given to get to know the history of the Armenian people and to bring a new value to relations between Armenia and Italy.

While in Pesaro, Armenia’s Ambassador to Italy met separately with the city’s Mayor, during which they agreed to establish an Armenian-Italian Chamber of Commerce in Pesaro.

Also, arrangement was reached toward Armenia’s participation in the Rossini Opera Festival to be organized in Pesaro next year.

At the end of the meeting, Pesaro’s Mayor accepted Armenian ambassador’s invitation to Armenia.
