Georgian FM Grigol Vashadze is confident that, if given the opportunity, Russia will resort to a new aggression not only against Georgia, but also against the other South Caucasus states. Vashadze told this to Zerkalo Nedeli weekly of Ukraine.
“[And] The reason for this policy is that the Kremlin is attempting to restore the Soviet Union. This is an adopted political objective, a task assigned to different Russian administrations. And any politico-military complication—Nagorno-Karabakh, Iran…—in the region could become a reason for military aggression,” said Grigol Vashadze.
