YEREVAN.- Armenia is expected to harvest 45-50 thousand tons of apricot this year, Agrarian Peasant Union of Armenia Chairman Hrach Berberyan said during a press conference on Monday.

According to him, this year’s harvest exceeds the previous year’s indicator by 40%, nearly 27 thousand tons. The only regions with no apricots are neighboring territories of Etchmiadzin, he said.

Berberyan said the villagers conducted tree spraying in due time following the advice of the Union. He also expressed gratitude to media representatives for helping the farmers and making experts’ advice available for the villagers.
