A 2.2-magnitude earthquake hit Armenia on Sunday at 5:31pm local time. The minor tremor was recorded 3 kilometers north of Artashat city.
The underground shaking measured magnitude 2-3 at the epicenter, and its hypocenter was 10 kilometers beneath the surface.
To note, a 3.8-magnitude quake struck the Armenia-Turkey-Iran border on Saturday at 3:51pm. The seismic activity was recorded 20 kilometers south of Armenia’s Ararat city.
The earthquake measured magnitude 5 at the epicenter, and its hypocenter likewise was 10 kilometers beneath the surface.
But this underground shaking was not felt in Armenia.
