YEREVAN.- President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday signed a decree to appoint Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Defense.  

Edward Nalbandian has been appointed Foreign Minister and Seyran Ohanyan – Defense Minister, presidential press service reported.

Re-elected president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who took office on April 9, on the same day accepted resignation of the Cabinet.

According to the Constitution, the President appoints a Prime Minister within ten days after the resignation of the government on the basis of the distribution of seats in the National Assembly and consultations with parliamentary factions.

The government is formed within twenty days after the appointment of the Prime Minister.
