Today, an Armenian, by the surname of Nigoyan, sacrificed his life which became the symbol Ukraine. 

Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, vocalist and frontman of Okean Elzy, which is one of the most successful and popular Ukrainian rock bands, tweeted the aforesaid.   

“Once, the Armenian [Sergei] Parajanov shot a movie which became the symbol of the Ukrainians. Today, an Armenian, by the surname of Nigoyan, sacrificed his life which became the symbol Ukraine,” Vakarchuk wrote.    

One of those killed, as a result of the clashes in Ukrainian capital city Kyiv, was an Armenian by the name of Serhiy Nigoyan, who was a Ukrainian citizen.   

The young Armenian was dreaming of becoming a professional athlete.
