YEREVAN.  – Deputy director of Caucasus Institute Sergey Minasyan described as “predictable and expected” the resignation of PM Tigran Sargsyan.

The analyst pointed out certain factors that could lead to Sargsyan's resignation, among them long term in office, no improvement of economic situation. Although the last factor is not only a result of PM's work, but that of global crisis, you can hardly convince the public, analyst said.

In addition there is failure of the initiatives launched by premier over six months.

Sergey Minasyan believes Hovik Abrahamyan, the newly appointed PM, has advantages as compared with Sargsyan. He can work with people, especially political opponents, he has organization skills, moreover he is acceptable figure for broader political circle.
