YEREVAN. – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said his country is interested in the speediest resolution of Karabakh conflict.

Minister Lavrov said Russia is interested in resolution bilaterally and as a co-chairing state of the OSCE Minsk Group.

“We believe that there is a basis for solution of the problem, that is principles reflected in the statement of presidents. The main thing is it is necessary to agree on the parameters for implementation of these principles and the sequence of steps,” Lavrov said during a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister in Yerevan. 

He said Russia, as one of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing states, will seek continuation of the direct dialogue between the presidents.
