YEREVAN. - The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Friday extended congratulations to Pope Francis, on the anniversary of his papacy.

“Armenia appreciates the constructive dialogue that exists with the Holy See in a variety of domains, and the expansion of the multifaceted bilateral ties that spawn from the same source of the Christian system of values.

“We greatly expect our special relations to continue their progressive development and strengthening,” the Armenian President’s message of congratulations specifically reads.
