Pope Francis condemned those who are silently watching persecution of Christians during a Good Friday service in Rome.

Pope condemned the recent execution of Christians in Kenya, saying: “In you, divine love, we see also today our persecuted brothers and sisters, decapitated and crucified for their faith in you, before our eyes and often with our complicit silence.”

Among thousands who joined Pope Francis at Colosseum on Friday night were Christians from Iraq and Syria. The cross was carried by families of different nationalities, as well as individuals from nations where Christians are currently being persecuted, such as Iraq, Syria, and China, News.va reported.
