YEREVAN. - On Friday Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with France’s President Francois Hollande, who has arrived in Armenia to take part in the events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Serzh Sargsyan welcomed President Hollande and said that it was great honor for him to once again host France’s President in Armenia. Sargsyan said that Armenia is proud of having special relations with such country as France. He also highly appreciated Hollande’s  speech today and the message conveyed to the world through it.

In his turn, Francois Hollande underscored that he has a feeling that in Yerevan he took part in a historic event. “Historic in terms of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.  Historic, since all the participants conveyed a message of peace and hope to those nations, who had been suppressed and experienced pain at different points of history,” Hollande said.
