Fitch Ratings has published the Long-term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) rating of Ameriabank at 'B+' with a Negative Outlook, taking into account regional economy developments.

Thus, for the first time an Armenian company gets rating equal to the rating of the country that is considered the best indicator to assess each company's rating in the international practice. Such a rating would contribute to international recognition of Ameriabank, would increase confidence in the bank and would contribute to the expansion of partner relations with foreign investors.

A few Armenian companies have ratings issued by international rating organizations, while only Ameriabank has rating issued by Fitch. The rating is given taking into account several indicators: Ameriabank's leading positions and share in the competitive market, credit investments, stable growth in liabilities to customers, trade finance, deposits, loan portfolio quality, capital and asset profitability and others.

Rating assigned by Fitch is an indicator of open and transparent activities of Ameriabank.

Fitch is one of the three leading ranking organizations that assigns ratings to countries, international agencies and companies all over the globe. Among CIS states, Fitch assigned ratings to 116 financial organizations and several other companies.
