YEREVAN. - The Armenian government approved the bill proposed by the nonpartisan MP Edmon Marukyan on organizing the injured soldiers’ treatment abroad.

With certain reservations of technical character, the government finds the bill imperative, Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said at the Government session on Thursday.

The bill of amendments to the Law on Social Security of Soldiers and their Families proposes to organize the soldiers’ treatment abroad at the expense of the state budget, if the effective treatment in Armenia proves impossible. The state must not only take the responsibility for the treatment of the soldier, but also for the living expenses of a given soldier, and, if necessary, the persons accompanying him.
