The people of Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR)) have proved that when they fight, they win.

NKR Defense Minister and Defense Army Commander Movses Hakobyan—who on Thursday visited the Sardarapat Memorial of Armenia on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the May victories and the establishment of the First Republic of Armenia—told the aforesaid to reporters at the memorial.

“It’s a holiday. We’re excited, proud to have won the battle and [that] our first republic was established. This victory is a background for our future victories,” Hakobyan said. “The people of Artsakh will resolve the Karabakh issue; we have proved it once.”

Movses Hakobyan added that, at present, the situation is calm on the NKR-Azerbaijan Line of Contact.
