YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, continues his talks and discussions with the country’s political forces, and with respect to the proposed constitutional reform.

Within the framework of this process, the President on Thursday met with representatives of the opposition Pan-Armenian National Movement party.

President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday started the series of his talks with Armenia’s political forces, and regarding the proposed constitutional reform in the country.

The new draft Constitution of Armenia has been forwarded to the National Assembly (NA). The respective parliamentary debates are expected to get underway during its first four-day fall session. And as per the NA speaker, the constitutional referendum should be conducted in late fall.

Pursuant to the new draft Constitution, Armenia will make a transition from a presidential to a parliamentary system of governance.
