YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Saturday signed a decree.
Accordingly, contract soldier, Private Hayk Tevoyan of the Armenian Armed Forces, has been posthumously awarded the Medal for Military Service, and in recognition of his bravery and personal courage shown during the defense of Armenia’s borders.
Tevoyan, 40, was killed in the early morning hours on Thursday, and as a result of shots fired by Azerbaijan. He has five children, three of which are minors, and his socially disadvantaged family lives on allowance.
