YEREVAN. – The border tension is a result of policy carried out by Azerbaijani authorities, deputy chief of the Armenian Armed Forces Movses Hakobyan told reporters on Saturday.
Hakobyan said the escalation is not a new thing, and we already witnessed similar situation, even worse, last year.
“As soon as mediators become engaged in an active work, Azerbaijan is trying to destabilize situation to downgrade the work of the mediators and blackmail the co-chairing countries,” Hakobyan noted.
The Armenian Armed Forces keep situation under control, he assured, expressing hope that the tension will be eased.
