YEREVAN. – A dark chapter in the Armenian history is not related to Armenia only, it is about the entire humanity, Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie Michaëlle Jean said.

She said there is no local tragedy or crisis, and these problems have to be solved globally.

Speaking about the ministerial conference, OIF chief said that Yerevan had become a place that focused the world's attention as the Francophonie includes Asia, Africa, Central, Eastern and Western Europe.

“We had an opportunity to exchange views and discuss action plans and strategies to achieve sustainable development in the modern world, to strengthen the efforts of Francophone countries, with the aim of developing economic cooperation. We are also working towards the preservation of peace, finding solutions to crisis and prevention of genocides. Armenia is a country where you have to talk about it. Unfortunately, crimes against humanity continue in the world, and the countries of the Francophonie can confirm it,” she added.
