Renowned Armenian pianist Tigran Hamasyan will perform Tuesday at the Lausanne Cathedral in Switzerland. 

The concert will be devoted to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, reported the Swiss letemps.ch website.

“Our family talked a little about the genocide,” the website quoted Hamasyan as saying. “In the Soviet years, they kept silent about all that related to the concept of nation.

“I went to Istanbul [(Turkey)] with my choir. We wanted to take our music to its home, its bed. (…). A large number of people were coming to all our concerts.”
