YEREVAN. - The regime won’t leave unless the students join the rally. Head of the “United Opposition Headquarters” Jirayr Sefilian said the aforementioned at the rally against the constitutional amendments in Yerevan’s Liberty Square. He welcomed the urges to boycott the classes at universities.

“If we are less [in number] than yesterday, it doesn’t mean we have got weaker. Just the other way round,” Sefilian said. “The square should be filled as soon as possible. Please take this seriously,” he noted.

Leader of “Heritage” party Raffi Hovannisian stated that the police leadership asked them to make an announcement. “We invited them, but they didn’t wish to come up. They said that if we deviate from the announced route, we’ll be subjected to administrative liability. And we are ready for any liability,” Hovannisian said.

He also urged the Deputy Chief of Yerevan Police Valeri Osipyan, as well as other high-ranking generals, “to hold liable those who exercised violence over the constitutional right of the Armenian citizens yesterday.”
